Magda Bielesz - play my life
While working in Mooste, Magda created a public board game that was larger than life. The game was painted on the old Mooste Silo tower where it is visible from all angles. This is life where the rules seem simple, yet every day comes new moves... 3 steps forward, one step back! Magda had generous assistance from several people to complete this project, namely, Piret Nilson, Taavi Kübar, and Annika Toots.
This game was designed for PostsovkhoZ but Magda plans to carry out this project in other places.

MAGDA BIELESZ (POL)

Magda Bielesz Varssavist on loonud mitmeid avalikke platsimänge avalikesse kohtadesse (viimane neist valmis selle 2005. a. juunis Gdanskis, Poolas).
Minu jaoks tähendab kunstnik olemine keelt, teatavat sorti kommunikatsiooniviisi. Reaalsusest võtan ainult parasjagu vajaminevaid mõtteid ja asju.

Magda Bielesz has made several public board games, to the public places grounds and walls (last one executed in Gdansk, June 2005). It is a large game with a spectator, she will be a hero of the game and every player can “change” with that game her habits, fate and everyday life. The public board game will be executed at Mooste- come and play into my life!
Magda: “My art concentrates on the topics of health and sickness, which have a strong meaning and connection to myself, but also childhood and happiness. I'm facinated with the states which I can not (as yet or perhaps) experience. For me being an artist is just like a language some kind of communication. I attempt to take from reality only the necessary thoughts and things I need at the given moment.
Mike Kelly said: "Artists are people who are allowed a certain social privilege to act out in ways that adults aren't supposed to act out". And it is great. Thanks to that I feel safer and more sure of myself
