THEODORE
HOLDT (USA)

Thodore Holdt, Washingtoni osariigist on maali-, heli- ja tegevuskunstnik, õpetaja,
orgaaniliste alternatiivmajade planeerija ja ehitaja. Need tegevused on
talle filtriks, läbi mille maailm ilmutab end oma tuhandetes dimensioonides.
PostsovkhoZi vältel plaanib Theodore viia läbi oma kolmanda nägemusotsingu
(vision quest).
Avalik ja era. Mis on nägemusotsing? Nägemusotsing on tseremoonia,
oskusi. Nägemusotsing algab ja lõppeb tavaliselt tseremooniaga
higistamistelgis, mis on avatud kõigile. Samas selgitab Theodore
rituaali põhimõtteid ja oma kavatsusi.
Theodore Holdt, from Washington DC, visual, performance and sound artist,
educator and builder of alternaive buildings. These activities are filter
for him, through what world revears itself on its thousands of dimensions.
“I am proposing to take my third vision quest in and among the people
of Estonia. I am planning a non traditional approach to the vision quest and
sweat lodge”
public and the private. “The vision quest is a ceremony where one
fasts from food and water for four days while asking the universe to present
itself. One is alone on a mountain or in the dessert. You stand and focus
on your intention. Why are you here. You become a hollow bone. I want to
take this private action and do it among the people. I will have some type
of interaction with the people. I am a visual and sound artist and I am
planning to incorporate these aspects into the building of the sweat lodge
and the alter (where I will stay for the four days).
This ceremony is usually started and finished with a sweat lodge ceremony.
This would be open to everyone. I would teach people about the ceremony
during these lodges and explain what my intention is.”
