Maria Kerin is interdisciplinary creator who travels between Ireland and Estonia. Bridging people and binding different worlds.
During her precious time at MoKS, Kerin is researching a new model of organisation inspired by her somatic movement based practice to inform her curatorial practice. This organisation will support interdisciplinary artist curators from the Irish Nordic Baltic States interested in creatively exploring the possibilities of peer to peer sharing and gifting with a view to forming RAFT, an arts practice community.
Russell Patrick Browne, dance artist and academic, will join her from Ireland in this research inquiry.
As part of this process, Maria is curating Head over Heals, a participatory gathering of 14 artist curators from Ireland and the Nordic Baltic States, to be hosted by Irish artist Michael Walsh in his wooden cabin in the forest in Puka, Estonia on the 26-27 August.
