The series consists of 5 large scale portraits of amorphous substances what are accompanied by their sources, 5 different men. We can look at these works as abstracted portraits of these mens deeds, words and thoughts. Are men shadows of their deeds and words or vice versa, are deeds and words shadows of the men. This is a work in progress, where the feminine counterpart is planned to be developed as well.

Evelyn Müürsepp is a mixed media artist and cultural coordinator, based in Southeast Estonia. Since 2001 I have worked as an artist-organizer, coordinating activities for MoKS- a non-profit residency center and project space. This ongoing life-university has offered me opportunity to learn from artists from all over the world and develop fruitful collaborations in various media. My recent interest and ongoing work is with drawing where I explore how the repetitive movement of a pen/pencil affects the body and its motion. This surface-body-surface feedback is a generative method to shift from abstraction to figural imagery.

Seeria koosneb viiest suuuremõõdulisest portreest, mis kujutavad amorfseid olluseid ja nende külge ühendatud viit erinevat meest. Neid töid võib vaadelda abstraheeritud portreedena, mis kujutavad nende meeste tegusid, sõnu ja mõtteid. Kas mehed on oma tegude ja sõnade varjud või vice versa. See on käimasolev töö, millele on kavas luua ka naispool.

Evelyn Müürsepp on Kagu- Eestis baseeruv segameedia kunstnik ja kultuurikorraldaja. Töötanud alates 2001. aastast vabakutselise kunstniku-korraldajana, algatades ja koordineerides MoKSi tegevusi. See käimasolev eluülikool on pakkunud võimaluse õppida kunstnikelt üle kogu maailma ja arendada viljakaid interdistsiplinaarseid koostöösid. Mu viimase aja huvi ja tähelepanu on joonistusel, kus ma uurin kuidas korduv pliiatsiliigutus mõjutab keha ja selle liikuvust. See pinna-keha-pinnalt tekkiv tagasiside on generatiivne meetod liikumaks abstraktselt figuratiivsele kujutamisele.
