Gunnhildur Una Jonsdottir is a PhD student at the University of Iceland. With her background in Fine Arts, Gunnhildur Una is now researching the social value and learning experiences in and around artist residencies in Rural areas.
Gunnhildur is visiting MoKS through the Nordic Baltic program and will return to MoKS again in October to complete her stay for this year. Gunnhildur has taken an active part in the CAVIC research network, that focuses on Contemporary Art and Visual Culture in Education. She is currently a part of the editors for an Anthology of CAVIC, which is in the making.
In MoKS she was working a lot with existing literature on the subject as well as conducted interviews withMoKS leading members, and administrator. Her residency will be in two parts - Gunnhildur is returning in October.

Guðrún Hilmarsdóttir stayed in MoKS with her mother during the first half of the month of June 2013. She documented her travel in Estonia on video and started her creation of a paper doll family while enjoying the studio time in MoKS.
