1.-3.mai varahommikutel toimub Moostes 3 kuulamisretke, milles osalemiseks on vaja eelnevalt registreeruda SIIN.
4.-5. mail toimub Ahja jõe ääres, Taevaskodade lähedal helilaager. Helilaagrist edastatakse loodushelisid voogedastussündmusele Reveil, mida korraldab Soundcamp London. Kodust lahkumata on võimalik teha 24-tunnine helirännak hommikuhäältesse üle maailma. Lisaks Põlvamaa aohäältele, saab aadressil soundtent.org/reveil kuulata koiduaegseid looduhääli mujalt Euroopast, Aasiast, Lõuna- ja Põhja- Ameerikast. Oluline on märkida, et üks koht, kus maailma eri paigust reaalajas saabuvad loodushääled Soundcampi meeskonna poolt kokku miksitakse on Mooste Folgikojas. Üleilme 24-tunnine loodushelide voogedastus läheb lahti 4. mai hommikul, kell 8 Eesti aja järgi.
Terita oma kõrvad ja meeled ning kuula Koidukoori!

Come and listen to the sounds of nature springing up! Join Koidukoor (Dawn Chorus).
Listening walks, sound camp and global transmission of nature sounds happening in South-Estonia and online from May 1st till 5th 2024
Koidukoor (meaning Dawn Chorus in Estonian) offers the opportunity to experience and learn about Estonia's extraordinary landscapes and habitats through sounds, at a time of year and day when the sounds of nature are particularly vivid. Koidukoor is a multi-day event featuring listening tours, a sound camp and a global live streaming of the sounds of the dawn.
Project instigator, sound artist John Grzinich explains, “Dawn Chorus listening has become an annual tradition for me in Estonia. Even though this can be done wherever one lives, I feel we have special conditions in Estonia that contribute to a rich and diverse Dawn Chorus. Therefore I enjoy sharing this with anyone who wants to listen more deeply to our environments. This is the reason to organise listening walks, a sound camp and participate in the Reveil global streaming event.”
During Koidukoor there will be 3 listening walks taking place in the early mornings of May 1st-3rd. For participation you need to register in advance HERE. The listening walks will take us through the local environs of the Mooste village with its lake and historic park. But we will be directing our attention more towards what we hear, rather than what we see. Following the walk each morning, we will gather to reflect on our experiences.
From May 4th-5th, a sound camp for students of the Estonian Academy of Arts will be held in the Ahja River valley near Taevaskoja. Our local audio stream will contribute to the worldwide 24-hour stream (8AM Estonian time (UTC+3) on Saturday 4.05 to 9AM on Sunday 5.05), which you can listen to online HERE. Without leaving home, it is possible to take a 24-hour audio journey of morning sounds from around the world, from Europe to Asia and many locations across South and North America. While coordinated from London, some of the live streams from different parts of the world will be mixed and retransmitted by part of the Soundcamp team based in Mooste, a village in Southeast Estonia. Koidukoor culminates with the Reveil broadcast, an event where the natural sounds of sunrise are streamed live over the internet for 24 hours highlighting the continual chorus around the world. The team coordinating the Reveil Dawn Chorus project is Soundcamp London, who, in cooperation with MoKS and local sound enthusiasts, will make global transmission of the natural sounds of Southern Estonia possible.
