Viktorija Damerell is a young artist and art curator, currently living in Vilnius, Lituania. As an artist she works in fields of sculpture, sound and text. Through her work she questions whether the autonomy of desire is possible when our experiences are formed, simulated and banalised by the dominant structures. In the last few years Viktorija has presented her sculpture, sound and video installations in various contemporary art projects and also curated a several exhibitions, together with Ona Juciūtė presenting the youngest generation of Lithuania’s contemporary artists.
Currently she is working on the audiovisual book project based on her literature piece in process ”The Synchroniser”.
During the time of the residency in MoKS, Viktorija would like to work on the sound piece indirectly inspired by her current writings. Using her own voice, she would like to explore the genre of guided hypnosis.
