Female Filmmaker Network project
The Female Filmmaker Network is a project supported by the Nordic-Baltic mobility programme “Culture” and implemented by four partners coming from the Baltic and Nordic countries - Rucka Art Foundation, an independent art institution based in Cesis, Latvia, MoKS, a non-profit artist-run project space in Estonia situated in the rural community of Mooste, Film på Gotland, one of Sweden's nineteen regional film centers, and Bergmanscenter, a cultural center that focuses on the life and artistic achievements of legendary Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman.
The main objective of the network is to bring together female filmmakers - directors, producers, cinematographers, sound recordists, editors and others from Estonia, Latvia and Sweden to give them the opportunity to share the challenges related to working in the film industry, listen to empowering stories and experiences and develop new projects. The contacts made through the Female Filmmakers network will result in common projects and Baltic-Nordic co-oproductions of films relevant for modern female.
Expectations towards participants
The project partners are looking forward to receive motivated applications from both experienced and upcoming filmmakers from Estonia, Latvia and Sweden who are interested in working on creating joint Baltic-Nordic film projects or participating in their implementation.
