Hany P is a choreographer, movement designer and breathing indicator with Korean dance breathing motif. She holds a Master’s degree in theatre and performance from the Goldsmiths University of London. She studied dance in the Sunkyunkwan University in Korea. Initially her dance career was developed with Korean dance. Since 2010 lives and works based in London with interenational groups in contemporary theatre and arts.
Her recent journey in workshops and performances includes ‘With Your Own Breathing Flows’ in Athens (GR), ‘Applied Fan Dance techniques’ at E15 University of Essex(UK), ‘Jeju International Butoh Festival’, ‘Busan International Performing Arts Festival ‘(KR).
Hany P is currently working on a performance Monsoon which premiered at Lake Studios Berlin in 2017. The project constituted primary experiments in exploring a variety of undescribed female spectrum in feelings and emotion, where she feels fully empowered, secured, sensual and radiant. During her residency in Estonia, she will develop Monsoon (vol.2) with sound artist Simon Whetham, with an intensive relation to objects and undiscovered sound, and also a consideration on Mise-en-scene.
