"I am walking in the forest around Mooste. Looking for this precious reddish earth. I have a shovel with me and I use it – I dig into the soil and find what I was looking for.
I put my hands into it. It’s damp and sticky, it’s colder than my hands, it has uneven consistence – I can feel small stones in it as well as harder pieces, which brakes between my fingers. I squeeze it in my palms – some of it comes out in between my fingers. I’m crushing and squeezing, pressing and wedging. It takes a lot of effort and time. This handwork gets response in my head – ideas start to appear. Later on they are passed to my hands and embody different shapes."
You are welcome to see these shapes on July 21st and 22nd in the frame of METSIK
