Martina F. Kartelo was educated as theatre acctress. She has finished MA in perfoming arts, with the final thesis on aesthetics of nudity in postmodern theatre.

About herself and her work she says so: "I would say that my work till now had two phases, first where during theatre studies and couple years after I was perfoming as theatre acctress in different theatre productions in Croatia and abroad.Since 2009 my work became more perfomance oriented, and more interdisciplinary oriented, so today I would consider myself as interdisciplinary artist who is working mostly with interactive perfomative events and installations community oriented.I also have been involved in projects where I was working as director and pedagog.My major thing what I want to achieve through involving inside theatre or perfomance projects is dialogue.To have dialogue with myself, with my collegues and with audiance.I want to understand the core of human existence and get to know its different sides.Since 2009 I have been mostly involved in international projects but as well in Croatia.Lately my focus is if and how theatre can bring positive social change inside particular community."
