Rita König (b 1962) is a writer, whose debut novel Rot ist Schön was published in 2015. Until 2006 she was working for planning, design and development for social life in the district of Havelland. She is a member of the Union of German Writers

At MoKS she is working on her novel "Greta".  Greta, a 78-years-old woman goes from Germany to Latvia in 2012 with all the remindings of a childhood in Latvia, girlfriends from Estonia, and war. The novel follows in an individual example the question how reliable memories can be suppressed/prohibited or resurfaced.
