Jarmo "Chopper" Nuutre drawings on show at MoKS gallery till the end of November 2013. 

Jarmo 'Chopper' Nuutre is foremost known in music circles as member and manager of the duo of doom called Talbot. He has organised tours and performances in almost every continent. Besides that he is also known as solo performer- most recently under the name of Skull Traiding. Besides music Chopper fills his days as recognized tattoo maker on his Le Moustache Tattoo Parlour. His great passion is also old cars and all subcultural world connected to it.
At MoKS gallery Nuutre's drawings are 1st time on show. Most of the images presented are done for something- they are either preparatory drawings for tattoos, poster designs for concerts, record covers, shirt designs, etc. Self-learned in drawing, his "handwriting" has developed under esthetical influences of different subcultures, works are drawn with free hand and good feeling, they are slightly decorative and locate somewhere between painting and drawing. Putting these works into the context of an art exhibition, they receive an attention what was not exactly intended in that way. At the same time drawings work very independently, drawing our attention to the fact how much there is actual handwork behind the flood of contemporary images, original input and that image, poster, design, etc will work different if to view it as original on paper and on gallery.

Gallery is open from wednesday till sunday, from 12pm- 6pm.
